Target Margin Theater, an Obie-award winning company now preparing for its 16^th season, is seeking interns who are interested on gaining valuable hands-on theater management and non-profit experience in our Brooklyn offices. This internship is really ideal for someone who wants to learn the ins-and-outs of producing in New York City, from admin to production to artistic. We ask that interns be extremely self-motivated, able to take the lead on projects with minimal supervision, and incredibly organized.

Working closely with the Artistic Director and Producers, interns will complete projects in theater administration, marketing, development, production, and event planning. The best candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, have strong written communication skills, computer and general office skills, and work well independently.

Target Margin looks for interns who are devoted to theater and who are interested in learning how Target Margin functions. Through project-based work, we give interns real-world experiences, and allow them to see the way an off-Broadway non-profit runs and thrives. Interns will have access to staff experienced in theater administration and management. Target Margin does not provide a stipend for internships, but can arrange with schools for interns to receive academic credit when applicable.

We consider an internship with Target Margin the start of a lifelong relationship. In the past, interns have gone on to join the paid staff of Target Margin, as well as collaborate in other ways. We welcome you to join our team!
