Target Margin is very pleased to announce that Alice Reagan has received an award from the Princess Grace Foundation, an organization dedicated to the cultivation of a new generation of theater artists. Alice will be joining the company full-time this season, where she will be mentored by Artistic Director David Herskovits, and direct a production of a Greek Tragedy in January as part of our Lab series.

TMT member and composer extraordinaire, Thomas Cabaniss has launched his new website www.thomascabaniss.com . Those in the know remember Tom for his work on past TMT shows such as The Sandman, Mamba's Daughters and The Nutcracker. Doug Langworthy has recently accepted a full-time position as Dramaturg at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ. In addition to providing him all sorts of juicy benefits, his proximity to New York will allow him to continue to work like crazy on next season's Faust extravaganza. But first, Doug is going back in Ashland, Oregon this summer working on a new play by Octavio Solis.

At the end of May Nicole Halmos will be traveling to Daytona, Florida to play Julie Cavendish in Seaside Music Theatre’s production of The Royal Family running through June. Then she is off to Akron, Ohio to play Elsa, "the other woman", in The Sound of Music at Carousel Dinner Theatre.

This summer, Meredith Palin will be costume designer for the opera program at the Aspen Music Festival in Colorado. The festival will include four operas including Cunning Little Vixen and Lucia di Lammermoor.


 

Mark Barton designed a show at Syracuse Stage in February and had a few tour dates with Mark Morris Dance Group as Lighting Supervisor this past spring.

From May 19-22 The Short-cut, choreographed by Hilary Eason played at Danspace at St. Mark's Church (East 9th St & 2nd Ave). The performance featured a dynamic score by Tom Cabaniss, and the performers included Steven Rattazzi, among others. Visit www.danspaceproject.org for more information.

Thomas Cabaniss had a chamber music performance by musicians of the Philadelphia Orchestra April 30 and May 1.

Will Badgett took on the title role in Sophocles' play Philoctetes for The Classical Theatre Lab Staged Reading series on April 26, 2005 in Los Angeles. Go to www.classicaltheatrelab.org for more info.

Thomas Cabaniss had a performance of a new choral piece with the Young People's Chorus of NYC the weekend of April 16-17.

The world premiere of Rinne Groff's INKY recently played at the Women's Project on 55th Street. The show was directed by Loretta Greco.

Rinne Groff translated and adapted three short Moliere plays and squished them into one event called Moliere Impromptu for a production conceived and directed by Christopher Bayes which played at Trinity Rep in February.

Belize, a new musical theatre work by the Talking Band, ran at La MaMa ETC January 6 - 23. The show featured William Badgett, Steven Rattazzi, and David Greenspan (of These Very Serious Jokes and the upcoming Faust in Love).

Will Badgett made an appearance as the train engineer in the season opener of 24 on January 9th at 8 PM.  He'll also be in an upcoming episode of a new show called Medium.

Gatz, a new Elevator Repair Service production at the Performing Garage in January featured lighting design by Mark Barton and set by TMT alum Louisa Thompson.


 

In early 2004, Nicole Halmos spent three months in Baltimore doing Sweeney Todd at Center Stage directed by Irene Lewis.  

Early in the summer Nicole Halmos did a workshop of John Jahnke’s Funeral Games at the Public Theatre, NYC.

In August Nicole Halmos was reunited with Adrian LaTourelle (of TMT's Dido, Queen of Carthage) and played Amanda in Noel Coward's Private Lives at Virginia Stage Company, Norfolk VA, directed by Emma Griffin and designed by Mark Barton. Mark Barton recently designed a show at Southern Rep in New Orleans, as well as dance concerts for choreographer Johannes Wieland at DVF Space in NY, and at a festival in Essen, Germany.

On the Origin of Darwin (Dec. 9-18) a new play by Kirk Wood Bromley and produced by the Inverse Theater at the Connelly Theater starred Steven Rattazzi as Charles Darwin and featured past TMT actor T. Ryder Smith.

Conquest of the Universe, or When Queens Collide, a revival of Charles Ludlam's 1967 play, produced by Salt Theater, played for a limited engagement of eight performances December 9 - 18 at the HERE Arts Center. Directed by Emma Griffin, costumes by David Zinn with Meredith Palin, and lights by Mark Barton & Greg Emetaz, the production had a work-in-progress at the Ohio Theatre Ice Factory in July.
